Anime Expo 2013: Day 2 Gothic Gyaru, Magi daiyo!, Liz Lisa Fashion show, Starmarie, Kim Dao, Cosplay, & Hugs o my~>

Anime Expo Day 2!

This is a cute cosplay of Aladdin from Magi. I love this anime, and the Porno Graffitti booth I was helping wrote the opening theme song for it. ( I'm so gonna cosplay this...)

We hugged afterwards. I was Honoured! Good hug, too. (Note: No matter how Cute or Awesome someone's outfit is, ALWAYS ASK before touching it or them!!!)

Later that day, my Maid Sakana stopped by, what luck! I remembered to take photos. ( We didn't during Fanime.) Maid Sakana is also a Very Good Hugger.

One day she will be Lolita Maid Sakana~>

One moe, maid my day~>

This was the view from the Commuter Bus. This bus took me directly to the Con, but the con was it only runs Monday - Friday and not holidays. But super clean, affordable and comfortable ride.

When I arrived at the L.A. Convention center, I went to the restroom, to do my hair and make. I made giant hair buns by fluffing up my pigtails and pinning them up. The outfit's theme is Dark Gyaru, so a passably Gyaru dress with a bubble bottom skirt from Honey by hNaoto, with various Pink accessories, including huge ring from Pinkhime.
Pinkhime makes over the top gyaru accessories, also useful for lolita or general cute outfits. I couldn't resist the in your face Rose Ring. ( Haul post from Fairytale Boutique's First Birthday will showcase more, please check back. Also, I entered a Pinkhime contest via Twitter! Check back for a blog about that, too.)

As you can see from my footwear, I wanted to be dressed up but comfortable. I already have feet issues, but walking at a convention in high heels is a big no no. Bring them fancy footwear for photo shoots, but otherwise wear 'emergency shoes.' (Emergency shoes= the best fit shoes which you port at all times for when your current ones are not a shoe-in for comfort.)

Dress: Honey by hNaoto
Skull Shawl, Safety Pin necklace: hNaoto
Rose ring: Pinkhime
Scrunchy: Gramm by hNaoto
Pearls: Forever 21
Cat necklaces in hair: Mint Neko & Sixh Neko
Black roses: Black Peace Now
Purse: Juicy Couture
Floral Flops: Handmade

Because I was lazy that day, I opted for very simple make up with no false eyelashes and used these fake glasses to hide enhance my face.

Black & Pink outfit, do you like it X-al?

Geared up, I walked towards the Porno Graffitti booth to volunteer a while before the Liz Lisa Fashion show. Before the exhibit hall opened, I bought Coffee, which is burnt Starbucks from the Cafeteria, rather than the in-house Starbucks, since I was not standing in that hour long line, and received Cream Pan from H! (Notice the creamer, just in case the coffee was terrible.)

It was a somewhat quiet morning. Iris Chen visited and took some photographs of N and I. We weren't sure how to pose, so first we tried 'Normal & Serious.'

We couldn't hold the 'Normal' pose for long...

Although working a booth is not always easy, it's really fun working with N!

When the time came, I calmly headed over to the Fashion Show room. ( That is I slightly frantically asked staff where this room is located because I could not tell from the maps.) By the time we arrived, there were already many waiting fans.

The Liz Lisa fashion show was in three parts: Tralala, Doll and Liz Lisa. These are Gyaru brands under Liz Lisa, which offer feminine & showy outfits. ( My previous Liz Lisa blogs.)

I apologize, the first photographs are terribly blurry. They get a bit better at the end because I moved and learned how to zoom a bit.

Between each set of fashion, Starmarie had small performances. They were such energetic dancers and singers, as you can see from the blurry motion shots. There were also Starmarie fans who waved light sticks and knew the fan dances.

Then more Liz Lisa.

( Starmarie had 2 small performances, but I didn't get good photos from the 2nd set. Instead I paid attention to their performance. They also stayed in their kimono dresses.)

This is the All Model line up at the end. Everyone is so Beautiful!

In the middle is a Designer.

The show ended in about 45 minutes. I learned later that the models all came out for photograph session. (Kicking myself.) But I rushed back to the Exhibit Hall to help out with the Porno Graffitti Autograph session merchandise table. This photo is actually from Day 1.

After the table, I popped into the Liz Lisa booth to check out the clothes and visit Kim Dao. Like I mention here, Kim Dao is an inspiring blogger and gyaru lover. She's very nice.

My Guns are better Concealed here.

After the Exhibit Hall closed for the day, I ran into M, and in her Madame Shirley cosplay! Yes, One Piece. Her pose is perfectly in character. ( Envious guy in background.)

M, show me the Cosplay way!

After a long day 2 of Anime Expo, I was craving some Sushi. This is Katsu sushi, and yes their dishes are definitely winners. They pile on the Sashimi in this salad, and the dressing makes the flavours pop like you won't believe.

Sashimi salad

First time eating grilled squid. It's good and less fatty than fried.

Ika Yaki, ii ga!

Finally, more blurry photos. Attempted selca with H and his 'not pink' hNaoto top.

Stop moooooving, looook at the cameraaaa!

Thank you for reading. Look forward to two more days of Anime Expo 2013. Are there Manga or Anime you want to cosplay? Or would be excited to see someone else cosplay? What sorts of fashion are you into? Ever mix cosplay and fashion? Please feel free to Comment in the Box below.
