Dark Lolita outfit for Meeting.

Happy belated Valentine's! This was from last weekend, but I wanted to share. ♥

Since I had a few hours to drive, I opted for a comfortable pink and black lolita coordinate. The dress is fully shirred and stretchy. It lacks the big back bow common to lolita dresses, allowing me to sit back.

One thing I enjoy about meetings in San Jose is easy access to Philz Coffee. Pricey, at almost 5 dollars a large cup, but the Mint Mojito is definitely a good value, since they use a ton of fresh mint leaves.

Refreshing.

That which I most enjoy at meetings is the people. Ashley & I selfie~> I regret not capturing a full body image of her outfit. It was most adorable.

He-who-shall-not-be-named's Birthday Weekend 2013: Fashion, Beer and Ramen

This post features two outfits and items from my sponsor PipStarPop! PipStarPop's items range from Sweet to Elegant. They match well with Gyaru & Lolita styles, or for a bit of Decor in everyday wear.

Both outfits are relatively simple, comfortable, and fun. The first outfit I will show is a super casual Gyaru outfit. It is super casual because it incorporates a t-shirt and no make-up. The second outfit I lovingly call Grandma-style Gyaru, obaachan-gyaru, because the vintage-inspired dress looks matronly.

Time to get Lucky.... Packs!

At year's end and on New Year's, Japan and many Asian countries often sell lucky packs, fukubukuro. These are bags of random or unique items that you buy at an exceptional discount. The caveat being that the contents are a surprise. But for me, surprises are Super Prizes.

The Grab Bag I got from Sanrio is just like a Lucky pack. I also recently got a Lucky Pack from MaruQ , with Sweet Loulita's help. ( I hope to blog about it soon; I must purchase online storage for my photographs. Flickr Pro, here we go.)

Black Friday Outfit, Lucky Pack Dress!

You could say I did my Black Friday shopping early, since I spent my time and money in line for Angelic Pretty's lucky packs last week. But I'm happy with the results!

I spent the day writing blogs, eating leftovers, and dressing up!

New York, Funning it, Day 6. NYCC, Koreatown, Chinatown, Alley.

My first full day of Fun on this trip. Of course a good breakfast gave me the energy to endure, provided by my dear friends Amy L. and Xin Z.

Amy made Monte Cristo and Xin made coffee.

Waiting at the platform:

Stickers stayed stuck that whole day.

Trains come very often in New York, so convenient.

On a Train!

Weekend before Halloween 2012

So of course, the weekend before Halloween, I had to get into the Costume Spirit. Gloomy-ness is traditionally appreciated, which I embraced on Saturday, and on Sunday I was simply Clowning around.

Gloomy goes to School.

Grr, eating!

Hoodie and Skirty: Gloomy X Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Stockings: Forever 21 (Gift from Baby Bro)
Shoes: Rockport

This was a small pumpkin patch right outside Oto's supermarket. Although it's Small, it's good, it's still good. It's also the only patch I went to this year.

Just trying to fit in.

Has a darker 'bottom.'

Backpack: Nerds
Bow: Gloomy X Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Shirt: Hello Kitty X Uniqlo
Pants: Putumayo
Stockings: Forever 21 (Gift from Baby Bro)
Shoes: Rockport

I got this Hello Kitty shirt from New York Uniqlo, it was also on sale, and one that I'd been looking for a while. I get 5x happier when I get the thing I've been waiting for, and on sale! Also, Uniqlo donates a portion of the proceeds to support Hellosmile, a cervical cancer prevention awareness group.

Thanks for reading! ^_^v

Baby, the Stars Shine Bright event with Masumi Kano~>

This Wednesday, Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, San Francisco had a party with designer Masumi Kano!

The shop's Facebook album of this event.

My Perspective:

You're Invited!

This event was special for many reasons. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision to go on a Wednesday night. But, I was excited to meet Masumi Kano. Also, it was catered by Crown and Crumpet, which is transitioning to its new location, so eating their food is a much rarer treat until Spring 2013.

I rushed to Baby*s shop after work and quickly shopped. I bought these lovely earmuffs, the fur pattern for which I have been Fawning over for a while now. I want to buy all the Fawned items!

I used them immediately.

(Kano-san noted my Gloomy hat! I replied, yes it's from the Apron Set, but she probably already knew.)

The no photography restriction was lifted for one night only, so I got some snaps of the shop. As expected, the decorations and food were all quite lovely, and pink!

Teacups match my dress!

Three types of Tea were served: Paris black, Green something and Fruit Tea...I forgot the names,  but the tastes are unforgettable~

And yes, the food was as good as it looks! I usually post food on my food blog, but in this case the food was a major portion of the ambiance.

I was too slow for a nibble of the Macarons...o the Madness!

I Savored it all!

My Savories~
Desserts, unafraid of my Mouth!

The Pink and Green layered Petit Four is new, raspberry and green tea pouf of yum.

I tread carefully with the tea, so many beautiful clothes.

I saw many familiar faces, which I hadn't seen in a while. I also met new friends, whom I hope to get to know better.

Sweet Gwendy.

Masumi Kano was very nice. She milled around and spoke with the attendees.

We had an autograph and photo session, and afterwards an informal Question and Answer session.

She also handed us the Necklace Gift for attending. I was thinking of this Limited gift the entire drive...

Yes, Baby*s has the key to my Heart...

Of course, put it on right away.

Group photo! I am sad I didn't meet every lady. Soon.
