Dark Lolita outfit for Meeting.

Happy belated Valentine's! This was from last weekend, but I wanted to share. ♥

Since I had a few hours to drive, I opted for a comfortable pink and black lolita coordinate. The dress is fully shirred and stretchy. It lacks the big back bow common to lolita dresses, allowing me to sit back.

One thing I enjoy about meetings in San Jose is easy access to Philz Coffee. Pricey, at almost 5 dollars a large cup, but the Mint Mojito is definitely a good value, since they use a ton of fresh mint leaves.

Refreshing.

That which I most enjoy at meetings is the people. Ashley & I selfie~> I regret not capturing a full body image of her outfit. It was most adorable.

SacAnime 2014: day 2, Harajuku Gyaru, Pizza Tradition, Lolitas & Doctor Who~>

Day 2 of SacAnime 2014. The night before I struggled to coordinate something. I wanted comfortable yet cute. This is what happened.

I started with the shoes, which are very comfortable, and have Unicorns! ( More details on a future Japan L.A. haul post.) Then I decided to wear my Mars skirt with a pink top. I tried the Angelic Pretty Lamb top, and from those basic colours I added the tights, and accessories. The feather boa was a practical afterthought, to keep warm while traveling.

Sunday is the day of the Lolita Tea Party at SacAnime. Although I didn't attend this year, I happened to see a group of friends before getting off the bus. So, Lolita group photo! Cuties!

On the way into the Exhibit hall to help with PipStarPop's booth, I ran into Gina! Cuteness rain upon me. Gina not only blogs and models but also designs.

At the booth, The Doctor passed by, and kindly agreed to some photographic evidence. I thought his expression bore an uncanny resemblance.

Some, blurry selfies...

So, we asked for help.

The lovely Lolita below helped take the above photo. Isn't her outfit simply cute?

Sac Anime 2014: Day 1, Visual Kei Lolita~>

Day one of SacAnime 2014! I went to help my sponsor PipStarPop, and was ready for a Visual Kei group photoshoot with Ying and Darla. If you've seen my previous blogs, I'm not very experienced when it comes to Visual Kei style, but I just dive into it my own way. (Thanks Darla for taking outfit shots!)

Top: Sixh
Skirt: hNaoto
Shoes: Y.R.U.
Hoodie: Glavil by tutuha
Necklace: 6% dokidoki
Black roses: Black Peace Now
Bag: hNaoto Frill
Make up: Sugarpill

For a base of Visual Kei and Lolita, I started with the Sixh shirt and hNaoto skirt. I then added the Glavil hoodie, for a punkier twist, and then the red and black tights and spike shoes. To continue the devilish look, I used the Frill winged backpack. To draw out a bit more white, the neckrope. Let's just say the make up and hair accessories were sprinkles on this Visual Cupcake.

The lovely Dalek bedecked lady below was just so cute, I had to capture her. Also, you get a peek at PipStarPop's booth.

Bunny Lolita~>

Hello Friends & Lovers, this outfit is based on the Pink Bunny headband made by PipStarPop, my sponsor! Because the bunny band is simple and cute, I chose a pink bunny patterned lolita dress in jumperskirt style. The dress also has roses and strawberries motif, so I paired it with strawberry patterned knee highs and red flats. Even my hairstyle is simply pigtails.

Dinner and Shopping on a Saturday Night

Today I had dinner with my brother and co-workers past and present at my favorite Japanese Restaurant, Zen Toro. I had Daikon salad and sushi. Amaebi is delicious. It's really nice to spend time with friends.

We enjoyed some homemade light and fluffy ginger chocolate brownies made by T. They were so good, I could inhale all three pieces.

Afterwards, we went grocery shopping. I bought 5 cantaloupes because they were organic and only 3 dollars each! I like fruit... Also this giant version of Talenti Gelato. It makes me feel small. ( I'll pretend I'm small as I eat it...lol)

Dress: Angelic Pretty
Necklace: 6% dokidoki

For a fun and summery look, I wore the dress without a shirt underneath. Simple hairstyle and flip flops. How is it? It's rather comfortable and free for lolita.

Thanks for reading. Do you have any tricks for wearing 'heavy' fashion in the Summer and Heat? Or a favorite summer outfit? Please share in the Comments Box below.

Anime Expo 2013 Day 3: Gyaru fashion show, Gyaru, Lolita, The Doctor, o, My!

Exhausted from the Fun and Work on Day 1 and 2, not only did I sleep in on Day 3, but traversed traffic. Since I White Rabbited, I was not allowed in to watch the last set of the Gyaru fashion shows of Glavil by tutuHA, MA*RS and Golds Infinity, however, I took photos of all the ladies afterwards!

Ghetto Furikura~>

Friends from Doll Delight's show at Fanime were modeling! Also, compared to Day 2's fashion show with Liz Lisa, this style of Gyaru is Edgier and Punkier. Cute ne?

MA*RS is so Pink and Black! I bet X-al loves it.

Glavil by tutuHA is definitely Punk Rocky. I love the Horny Hoodies!

Of these brands, Golds Infinity is much more affordable. Cute and feminine.

Fanime 2013 day 3: Lolita Sunday

On the third day of Fanime, my true love gave to me, Do-o-nut Ring~>

We were messing around at the info-desk outside of registration, with my new found Mini Krispy Kreme's ring. I remembered Krispy Kreme donuts being quite oil-filled, but this one was killer.

Fanime 2013 Day 2: Lolita, Dolldelight Model, & Tea for Two

On day 3 of Fanime 2013, I had the honour of modeling for Dolldelight. Here's a sample of what I wore, more details on my Modeling Blog.

mIMG_0297

For the rest of the day, I wore a Macaron Lolita outfit, since it suited the Hair and Make from modeling.

After modeling, I headed over to Clockwork Alchemy's Tea Room to meet my brother.

Clockwork Alchemy is a Steampunk convention in its 2nd year put on in conjunction with Fanime. So one membership gets you into two conventions.

More on my Food Blog.

After drinking our fill of Tea, we wandered around Clockwork Alchemy, to see what was left to see.
There was a Stage which I did not recognize, but it looked Cool, so we took photos.

Fanime 2013 Day 0: Minimalist Lolita

Dear Friends & Lovers,

This past weekend was the annual Fanime Convention in San Jose, CA. It was a lot of work, yet I managed to dress up each day, at least a bit.

I recently made a Legendary Ten Shirt Purchase from Uniqlo.

Since Thursday involved Travel, I wanted something simple. Excitedly, I wore the Laduree x Uniqlo shirt for the first time. (I'd been wearing the Sanrio x Uniqlo shirts from this haul for a while. These shirts are on sale right now!)

Laduree is a world famous macaron & confection shop. My first taste of Laduree was thanks to Christina Winkelmann, I thank her for enriching my Tastes. I apologize the photos are not great, but you get the idea.

Shirt: Laduree x Uniqlo
Bloomers: Frill by hNaoto

Lolita Harlem Shake

There's a Popular video on-line right now, called the Harlem Shake. Well, my friends made their own version. I keep watching it over and over to see what funny things each is doing. I don't know everyone in this video, but hopefully we will meet one day.

Hoppy 12 12 12 Outfit

Happy hoppy 12th day of the 12th month of the 12th year after 2000! This is the casual outfit I wore on 12-12-12. I wanted to wear the Toy March cutsew, and the Bears Cafe skirt from Angelic Pretty. This was a bit of a challenge.

(FYI: I bought Toy March recently at Angelic Pretty San Francisco 2nd Anniversary weekend, and Bears Cafe at Angelic Pretty San Francisco's Grand Opening.)

Top, Socks, Ring & Skirt: Angelic Pretty
Scarf/Wrap: Uniqlo
Shoes: Vans
Ribbons: Handmade

Anime Expo 2012 and My Idol, Misako Aoki! Take 2, and Action.

The morning of my Day 2, I grabbed some quick food. The motel we stayed at had free coffee and doughnut breakfast. The coffee was surprisingly decent, and the doughnuts were fresh, sweet. My cupcake for the day is pictured also. I made the cupcake portion, and the top black and white rose is formed from an hNaoto bandanna which came in a magazine. I added some Hangry & Angry charms and safety pins.

That morning I rushed to get Misako Aoki's autograph at the Angelic Pretty/Harajuku Hearts booth. Misako-san also models for Putumayo, which she is wearing pictured below.

At the booth, the shopgirl, Yuri, said that in Japan Putumayo recently had a Tea Party with Misako-san as a guest. Film of the Putumayo fashion show from AM2 was shown to the lolita attendees. Yuri pointed out to Misako-san that I was part of that Putumayo show, and then Misako-san said I had 'Attained Kawaii.' (Internal, Kya!) I thanked her profusely.

Idol Blessings, such a lovely way to start a Conventional morning.

For her to sign on, I purchased a postcard calendar she made for 2012 from the booth. Although the year was almost done, the photographic cards are easily re-usable. (Photos coming soon.)

We were allowed to take photos with her, too.
