Thanksgiving 2011 Black Friday

My casual Hangry & Angry outfit for Black Friday deals at hNaoto in New People Building on Thanksgiving 2011.

The hair was the most fun. A wild and comfortable outfit.

Everything is Hangry & Angry

Except
Backpack: Frill
Shoes: Rockport
Hat: Handmade

The T-shirt is actually autographed by Gashicon, the designer of Hangry & Angry. The socks were my first ever hNaoto purchase. Unfortunately, I recently messed them up in the wash, and am still trying to unfelt them. :_:

MaruQ Lucky Pack & Sweet Loulita Lucky Pack

My friend and 'fan' Sweet Loulita helped me buy a Lucky Pack from MaruQ when the physical store opened. It was only $75 and inside was an entire outfit.

The bag the pack came in is rather sturdy. The plastic makes it easy to keep clean and cloth handles allow easy hanging from any hook without damaging it.

Sweet Loulita created her own Lucky Pack for me, and stuffed it in, making this pack extra Lucky!

MaruQ Grand Opening plans

MaruQ

This Saturday, Dec the 15th, MaruQ is having its Grand Opening events. Congratulations, Kim!

MaruQ is the only distributor of LizLisa outside of Asia. They specialize in Gyaru brands. I want to line up for scratchers, but am unsure of the Photo contest. I have a Twinkle of a neat Winter Gyaru outfit, but it's yet a glimmer. Contests are fun though. What should I wear?

Baby, the Stars Shine Bright event with Masumi Kano~>

This Wednesday, Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, San Francisco had a party with designer Masumi Kano!

The shop's Facebook album of this event.

My Perspective:

You're Invited!

This event was special for many reasons. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision to go on a Wednesday night. But, I was excited to meet Masumi Kano. Also, it was catered by Crown and Crumpet, which is transitioning to its new location, so eating their food is a much rarer treat until Spring 2013.

I rushed to Baby*s shop after work and quickly shopped. I bought these lovely earmuffs, the fur pattern for which I have been Fawning over for a while now. I want to buy all the Fawned items!

I used them immediately.

(Kano-san noted my Gloomy hat! I replied, yes it's from the Apron Set, but she probably already knew.)

The no photography restriction was lifted for one night only, so I got some snaps of the shop. As expected, the decorations and food were all quite lovely, and pink!

Teacups match my dress!

Three types of Tea were served: Paris black, Green something and Fruit Tea...I forgot the names,  but the tastes are unforgettable~

And yes, the food was as good as it looks! I usually post food on my food blog, but in this case the food was a major portion of the ambiance.

I was too slow for a nibble of the Macarons...o the Madness!

I Savored it all!

My Savories~
Desserts, unafraid of my Mouth!

The Pink and Green layered Petit Four is new, raspberry and green tea pouf of yum.

I tread carefully with the tea, so many beautiful clothes.

I saw many familiar faces, which I hadn't seen in a while. I also met new friends, whom I hope to get to know better.

Sweet Gwendy.

Masumi Kano was very nice. She milled around and spoke with the attendees.

We had an autograph and photo session, and afterwards an informal Question and Answer session.

She also handed us the Necklace Gift for attending. I was thinking of this Limited gift the entire drive...

Yes, Baby*s has the key to my Heart...

Of course, put it on right away.

Group photo! I am sad I didn't meet every lady. Soon.

Nighto with Naoto

Last Monday, my brother, I and friends spent quality time with Hirooka Naoto, the creator and designer of hNAOTO. He was in San Francisco for a few hours after a week in Atlanta for AWA convention. Obviously, I was excited to see him, but it was 'hisashiburi,' it had been a while, since he was in SF. The SF Naoto shop, in New People building, held a miniature party in the evening. As usual they showcased the newest items, and buying $100+ gets an autographed photograph with Naoto-san. (Sometimes I refer to Naoto-san as Father Na because Na Otousan sounds similar.)

The evening began with a drive down to San Francisco. Amazingly we did not encounter much traffic although we drove between 4-5:30pm. But we passed 2 remnants of accidents as well as another huge just-happened accident. The police car and ambulance were trying to get past full lanes on the Bay Bridge. I tried to move right, but there was no where to go. I still remember years ago, we were stuck on the Bay Bridge with some terrible traffic wondering what was the matter. We passed by a smoked-out totally burnt, still-burning white van. It was awful.

Moving on, we arrived at Japantown ~5:30, and went to use the facilities. I had to pin in my headdress, and adjust my outfit. Met up with Crystal M. to have dinner before heading over to the Naoto party. (There was food at the party though!) We ate at Kushi Sushi.

More details on food blog.
Around 7pm, we headed to the facilities, again, and then to the Naoto shop. There were many familiar faces there, and I got caught up in chatting with friends and friend-clerks alike. Father Na came over, waved, and said, "Hi, Cupkeiki." Inside I Kya-ed. Outside I waved enthusiastically. As usual I checked out all the new items in the shop. There were many.
