He-who-shall-not-be-named's Birthday Weekend 2013: Fashion, Beer and Ramen

Both outfits are relatively simple, comfortable, and fun. The first outfit I will show is a super casual Gyaru outfit. It is super casual because it incorporates a t-shirt and no make-up. The second outfit I lovingly call Grandma-style Gyaru, obaachan-gyaru, because the vintage-inspired dress looks matronly.

Exhausted from the Fun and Work on Day 1 and 2, not only did I sleep in on Day 3, but traversed traffic. Since I White Rabbited, I was not allowed in to watch the last set of the Gyaru fashion shows of Glavil by tutuHA, MA*RS and Golds Infinity, however, I took photos of all the ladies afterwards!

Friends from Doll Delight's show at Fanime were modeling! Also, compared to Day 2's fashion show with Liz Lisa, this style of Gyaru is Edgier and Punkier. Cute ne?

MA*RS is so Pink and Black! I bet X-al loves it.

Glavil by tutuHA is definitely Punk Rocky. I love the Horny Hoodies!

Of these brands, Golds Infinity is much more affordable. Cute and feminine.

Anime Expo 2013: Day 2 Gothic Gyaru, Magi daiyo!, Liz Lisa Fashion show, Starmarie, Kim Dao, Cosplay, & Hugs o my~>

Anime Expo Day 2! 

Continuing from the Aladdin theme of Day 1.

This is a cute cosplay of Aladdin from Magi. I love this anime, and the Porno Graffitti booth I was helping wrote the opening theme song for it. ( I'm so gonna cosplay this...) 

We hugged afterwards. I was Honoured! Good hug, too. (Note: No matter how Cute or Awesome someone's outfit is, ALWAYS ASK before touching it or them!!!)

Later that day, my Maid Sakana stopped by, what luck! I remembered to take photos. ( We didn't during Fanime.) Maid Sakana is also a Very Good Hugger.

One day she will be Lolita Maid Sakana~>

I'm in Kim Dao's Blog, yay!

While in AX I briefly met Kim Dao, again, at the Liz Lisa booth. ( I first met her in San Francisco, J-Pop Festival 2012.) Kim is a blogger who makes fashion and make up tutorials with emphasis on Gyaru style.

MaruQ recently announced it's selling lucky packs. Not only is the exchange rate price good, but on top of that, they have limited edition Liz Lisa Store-Only packs!

I'm living vicariously through my friend X-al who partook of several packs. I heard from Sweet Loulita who is in the Japans now, that the Trunk bag which was available from Liz Lisa website looked really good in person.

Soon after buying these Baby, the Stars Shine Bright ear muffs for the Masumi Kano event, I wanted to wear them all the time. That day there was a Guest Lunch so I needed to look extra Work Appropriate.

The morning of December 15th, 2012, I headed to San Francisco for MaruQ's Grand Opening Party. I wanted to be comfortable while driving, so I wore this Tralala lucky pack outfit.

At year's end and on New Year's, Japan and many Asian countries often sell lucky packs, fukubukuro. These are bags of random or unique items that you buy at an exceptional discount. The caveat being that the contents are a surprise. But for me, surprises are Super Prizes.

The Grab Bag I got from Sanrio is just like a Lucky pack. I also recently got a Lucky Pack from MaruQ , with Sweet Loulita's help. ( I hope to blog about it soon; I must purchase online storage for my photographs. Flickr Pro, here we go.)

Turkey Wrangling, Thanksgiving Preparation!

Last Monday, I volunteered at my local coop, to distribute pre-ordered Turkeys! It's a lot of fun grabbing the turkeys from the big fridge room. I usually dress up in costume too, but this year was a bit lower key since due to the busy Angelic Pretty 2nd Anniversary weekend, I didn't have much time to plan.
