Fanime 2013 day 3: Lolita Sunday

On the third day of Fanime, my true love gave to me, Do-o-nut Ring~>

We were messing around at the info-desk outside of registration, with my new found Mini Krispy Kreme's ring. I remembered Krispy Kreme donuts being quite oil-filled, but this one was killer.

Fanime 2013 Day 2: Lolita, Dolldelight Model, & Tea for Two

On day 3 of Fanime 2013, I had the honour of modeling for Dolldelight. Here's a sample of what I wore, more details on my Modeling Blog.

mIMG_0297

For the rest of the day, I wore a Macaron Lolita outfit, since it suited the Hair and Make from modeling.

After modeling, I headed over to Clockwork Alchemy's Tea Room to meet my brother.

Clockwork Alchemy is a Steampunk convention in its 2nd year put on in conjunction with Fanime. So one membership gets you into two conventions.

More on my Food Blog.

After drinking our fill of Tea, we wandered around Clockwork Alchemy, to see what was left to see.
There was a Stage which I did not recognize, but it looked Cool, so we took photos.

Shirt gyaru!

I have several blogs about Liz Lisa and the gyaru style. But with most fashion movements, and art, the acceptable styles are quite broad and all encompassing. Luckily for many, that allows our creativeness to fly free.

Here is my Boyfriend shirt style gyaru look.

Farmer's Market a few Saturdays Ago

On November the 10th, 2012, I did something I love doing but rarely have time for anymore. I went to the local Farmer's Market. That day I really just threw stuff on and left.

I was wearing my Hobo jacket, so I didn't expect to turn any heads that morning.

Anime Expo 2012, Blue Exorcist, and Prinny, o, my! Last day to play.

On the last day of AX, I wandered with my brother. He was catching all the posters and autographs during AX. There were lots of huge and cool anime posters like this Blue Exorcist one. There's someone I want to cosplay in Blue Exorcist, can you guess who?

It's like I'm their friend...

Anime Expo 2012 and My Idol, Misako Aoki! Take 2, and Action.

The morning of my Day 2, I grabbed some quick food. The motel we stayed at had free coffee and doughnut breakfast. The coffee was surprisingly decent, and the doughnuts were fresh, sweet. My cupcake for the day is pictured also. I made the cupcake portion, and the top black and white rose is formed from an hNaoto bandanna which came in a magazine. I added some Hangry & Angry charms and safety pins.

That morning I rushed to get Misako Aoki's autograph at the Angelic Pretty/Harajuku Hearts booth. Misako-san also models for Putumayo, which she is wearing pictured below.

At the booth, the shopgirl, Yuri, said that in Japan Putumayo recently had a Tea Party with Misako-san as a guest. Film of the Putumayo fashion show from AM2 was shown to the lolita attendees. Yuri pointed out to Misako-san that I was part of that Putumayo show, and then Misako-san said I had 'Attained Kawaii.' (Internal, Kya!) I thanked her profusely.

Idol Blessings, such a lovely way to start a Conventional morning.

For her to sign on, I purchased a postcard calendar she made for 2012 from the booth. Although the year was almost done, the photographic cards are easily re-usable. (Photos coming soon.)

We were allowed to take photos with her, too.

Cupcake: Handmade with hNaoto rose, Hangry & Angry charms
Black roses: Black Peace Now
Scrunchie: Gramm
Bunny Cuffs: Angelic Pretty
Black Cuffs: Chantilly
Pocket watch: Gift from M-ko

Shoes: Payless
Hair, nails, makeup: Me

New York, Funning it, Day 5! Uniqlo & NYCC

The morning of Saturday October the 13th, had a final leg of work. But, the afternoon was Mine all Mine! It was a beautiful day, warmer than I expected and yet chillier too.

I took some shots of LGA departure area.

I saw a Harbor.

Harboring good thoughts.

And of course, the Infamous Taxis. Quite entertaining, one of the drivers was blasting his music and dancing out of his cab while he helped his passengers with their luggage.

That afternoon, my old chum and her husband, a.k.a. her Babeh, picked me up. I was excited to see them, since it had been a couple of years. After changing at their place, I headed out to Manhattan... on the train!

I'm on a Train!

This is some Neat art I saw decorating the trains.

Where was I headed? Fifth Avenue!

I was running an errand for a friend and of course, shopping. Right away, I saw the NY Uniqlo clerks, flyering.

I want the Uniqoat.

I thought it was odd, an old style church next door to a GAP.

Self Reflection on 5th Avenue.

There it is!
This is a New Uniqlo in New York. Apparently, it's the Global Flag-post store, which the Voice over the P.A. system repeated. This store is Massive. Uniqlo is a nice shop to get basics in many colors. Also, they have nice collaborations with Anime, Manga, Artists, Stars and more!

Although one just opened in San Francisco prior to my trip to New York, I didn't have time to see it, so I was excited to shop at this Uniqlo in NY.

Uniqlo boasts several innovative technologies in terms of clothing. Pictured here is their Ultralight down items. There was a sale, so this is the Awesome Feeding Frenzy.

Ticker lights drive the Pandamonium.

Took advantage of the mirrors:

A Uniqlo staffer said he liked my outfit.

Floral hat: Handmade, except for Dolldelight bow and MintyMix lollipop
Necklace: MintyMix
Shirt and socks: Gloomy X Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Skirt: Frill by hNaoto
Jacket: Banana Republic (Gift from Amy L.)
Tights: Holley Tea Time
Shoes: Rockport

Orla Kiely collection! I believe Christina W. inseminated this artist into my mind, because she mentioned the collaboration. But it's cute stuff, so I don't mind.

My haul is at the end of this post.

Onward to New York Comic Convention, special thanks to hNaoto booth USA for giving me a reason to go!

Hangry & Angry hat, at NYCC

I found a Wild Manli.

Manli is decked out in Sixh Ibi's Nine. We have the same tank top!

The main reason I went to Uniqlo first before rushing to NYCC was to grab an essential item for Manli's cosplay.

What, the L.

YEAH DARKSTALKERS, where's Felicia?

Nerds!

L wants to eat it.

Just going to pose nicely next to you...

Like L, get into my mouth!

My photo does not show the Sparkly awesome that is this Lady. Her lips were glitter.

Awesome outfit!

You may have noticed my shots are blurry, well I was very hungry at this point. So Manli and I left NYCC and got some grub. We ate at Tick Tock Diner, which neither of us had tried before, but a nice girl who we walked & talked to on the way out of NYCC highly recommended it.

Yay, food.

Nuu.

Portabelly & Sweet Potes

After dinner, we wandered into a Sephora.

Resisted urge to rub tester all over my belly.

Then, since everything but food was closed, we got some drinks. My first time at Tim Horton's.

Cafe~>

This was my First Uniqlo haul of the trip.

Not only did I indulge in the Orla Kiely collection, but I also found on-sale Mizumori Ado shirts! And, bought my first pair of Skinny Jeans.

I got essentials, such as tanks, tights, and socks. These socks are Uniqlo's Heat Tech material, supposedly holds the heat against your body like no other comfortable material.

Thanks for reading, I still have a few more days of New York to blog about, so come back soon.
